What is the design and construction process for StreetSide?

Before we start building, we first design our homes and communities. During this process we consider a variety of factors:

 

Who are the future homeowners for this community?

What type of features will our new homeowners’ need?

What are homeowners’ budgets?

How can we maximize the value of our homes?

Once we have a clear understanding of our target market we can start to establish the design form and architectural finishes of the community.

 

Next, we move onto building your new home.

 

Once all our plans and permits are in place we can start the process of building your future home! Not just following, but exceeding the Building Code in Manitoba, we build all of our homes like we would our own.

 

With Qualico as our parent company, we have over 70 years of building experience. This means we’ve learned a thing or two about building homes that not only thrive in our unique climate, but exceed all of our homeowner expectations.

 

Construction begins with servicing the building site for waste, water and power with our local trades and service providers. From there, we start by excavating and pouring the home’s foundation. Following backfill, we commence framing, followed by the installation of the mechanical systems, along with our low maintenance exterior cladding, drywall, paint and all the finishing touches including cabinets, tile and flooring.

 

At each step of the way, we have our professional consultants inspect our workmanship quality to ensure it meets or exceeds the exacting specifications for your home.

 

From foundation to a move-in ready home StreetSide will spend upwards of 10 months ensuring your new home is built to our exacting standards.
