From Blueprint to Dream Home: Exploring the Design Center Experience

Step 1: Purchase Your New Home

Okay, that part may seem obvious, but it’s important to note that only pre-sale homes are qualified for a design meeting, so that when your home is being built, we know exactly what finishes to use based on what you’ve chosen! There is a deadline to choose finishes before they get outfitted with a standard spec package chosen by our design consultant, so if you want a hand in crafting your home, be sure to purchase during the pre-sale well in advance so you don’t miss the deadline! Step 2: Review the Features & Finishes

Each of our pre-sale communities are released with a unique Features & Finishes book, which gives you a sample of some of the various options you can choose from for the finishes of your home! By reviewing this book before your design meeting, it will help and inspire you while making your design decisions. Bear in mind, the options in this book are not extensive, and you will have even more options to choose from when you join us at our design meeting! Step 3: Attend Your Design Meeting!

Once you’re at the design meeting, you’ll have full access to the exclusive Qualico Design Center that spans over 4,000 sq. ft. It houses samples of all the finishes you can choose from, so you can quite literally feel the difference between the choices you’re making. With the assistance of our design consultant and the preparation you’ve done from browsing the Features & Finishes book, you’ll have 3 uninterrupted hours to choose the finishes for your home. It’s at this point that you can dive in and choose everything from your countertops, paint colour, backsplash, cabinetry, and more! In the case of some homes, you can also choose different appliance packages, and upgrades such as a feature wall or fireplace.

 

Once the fun part is done, let the suspense begin! Waiting to see your completed home that you crafted with your own hands is one of the most exciting parts of purchasing a pre-sale home. We love keeping you updated every step of the way, so we’ll also be sending you regular construction updates, so you always know where we’re at with building your home.
