One of the biggest changes you can make in your space (and the best bang for your buck) is to paint! Whether it's a moody feature wall or an overall wall colour, paint makes a big impact and can dramatically change the feel of a room. While painting is an affordable and easy way to customize, that doesn't make the task any less tedious. Here are some tips to make sure your painting experience is as good as it can be.
.) Drop cloths, whether plastic or cloth, often get bunched up as you walk on them. Try using cardboard or a disposable plastic table cloth with a bit more rigidity to it.
.) Cover your paint tray in plastic cling wrap or foil to make clean up a breeze.
.) Use a quality, stiff angled brush for cutting and painting around trim. Good brushes don't come cheap (some of the best are around $20 a pop), but investing in a good brush will save you time and slip ups, and will be money well spent.
.) Use a hair dryer to heat up painters tape for easy removal.
.) Stretch a rubber band over your open paint can and use it as an edge to remove excess paint from your brush.
