A: The Rise is a seven-storey condominium with a basement parkade. The foundation is precast piles and the parkade is comprised of concrete walls and floors. A hollow core concrete floor with 2 inches of concrete topping separates the parking level from the main floor. The seven-storey building is a total precast concrete structure from the main floor to the open web steel joist roof system.
Q: What is the heating system used for Rise Condominiums?
A: Phase 1 units are heated with modern compact linear convector baseboard heaters, cooled with a ductless mini-split air conditioners, Phase 2 units are equipped with ducted forced air heating and cooling, with a fan coil located in the suite entryway ceiling. Both phases include ducted transfer fan to circulate fresh air throughout the suite. A very efficient rooftop make-up air unit conditions the common areas of the buildings, while suppling the fresh air to the suites. The Rise Condominiums is equipped with a central exhaust heat recovery system adding to the efficiency of the PowerSmart buildings. The parkades are heated with electric unit heaters.

A: Access to the building will be via secure interphone located at the building entries. Closed circuit TV will monitor all building entry points including the lower level parkade. A: The unlikely event of a fire has been extensively considered at The Rise. The building is equipped with a comprehensive fire alarm system that includes a full fire-suppressing sprinkler system, fire alarm horns and strobe lights, hard-wired in-suite early detection smoke and heat detectors, and emergency exit lighting and signage. The suites are separated from each other with a 2-hour fire resistance rating on walls and floors.
